Clearing Your Mind

I had kind of a bad day the other day. I’ve been trying to switch career paths and I just haven’t been making any headway. I had a couple of interviews the other day that both went really obviously poorly and it pretty much put me down in the dumps. It didn’t help that my birthday was coming up and I had recently found out that most of my friends weren’t going to be able to make it out for various reasons.

I was headed home from the interviews feeling pretty bad about everything. I decided to stop off at a convenience store for some comfort food. I also picked up a bottle of Yamalube 2M for my boat on my way back because I thought that a boating trip might calm my nerves a little bit. I was right! All I really needed to freshen my mind was some time alone out on my boat. I’ve got another interview coming up soon and I think I’m going to do a lot better.

The History of Yamaha

Yamaha is a bit of a bizarre corporation. They’re a multi-billion dollar company that is based in Japan and was established in 1887, exclusively creating pianos and reed organs. As the years went on, the company’s product lines expanded more and more and now Yamaha’s brand name is recognized as one of the best-known Japanese companies in the world.

Not only is Yamaha currently the largest manufacturer of musical instruments of all varieties at this point in time, but they also produce a large plethora of other products including motorcycle and boat products. I exclusively play on Yamaha musical keyboards, and oddly enough, I also only use Yamaha 2M oil for my boat. It’s very interesting to me to think that the same corporation makes my keyboards also makes the supplies I use for my boat.

Comparing Boats

I’ve always had issues with my boat ever since I bought it used. I’d never really been able to figure out what was the best measure to make sure it was working better. I looked to my friend who also bought a used boat around the same time as I did and hadn’t had any problems with his boat whatsoever.

I asked him, what’s his secret? How does he get his boat to run so smoothly? He told me that he always used Yamalube 2-M oil on his boat and said he didn’t have any special secret other than that. I decided to switch to it with my boat and it’s been running great ever since!

Fishing in Australia

A friend of mine up and moved to Australia on a whim recently. One of the things he likes to do most out there is go fishing. Recently, I finally saved up enough money to go out and visit him during my vacation time. He decided that for one of the days that I was there, we’d go fishing because as he stated, Australian fishing is the best.

He took me out to a place called Fitzroy River and we fished for threadfins and barramundi, which was bizarre to me because I’m only really used to fishing for salmon and steelhead back in the States. We had a great time and when I returned home, I shipped him a few bottles of Yamalube oil for his boat as thanks.

Excessive or Prepared?

My dad can be a little excessive sometimes, although he claims that he’s just trying to always stay prepared. And for the most part, he is prepared for any occasion, but that doesn’t negate the fact that he’s also pretty excessive. Take his new boat for instance: he sold his old car and picked up a new car on a whim just so he’d be able to properly tow the boat.

When it came to finding things to maintain his boat, he was bit excessive too. For instance, there were a lot of things that he bought in bulk. He picked up an oil drum filled with Yamalube 2W oil so that he wouldn’t have to worry about purchasing it by the bottle.

Water Crafts

Being out on the water is great fun, and the way most people like to do it is on water crafts. There are many different types of water crafts – from boats to WaveRunners to jet skis and onward – and each of them requires specific types of maintenance that are different from one another.

For example, it’s important to know what’s the right oil to use depending on your marine vehicle to make sure it’s being maintained correctly and safely. For instance, Yamalube 2W oil is useful for WaveRunners, while it’s probably not going to do a lot of good for most boats. These sorts of things are important to know to make sure your water craft is running smoothly.

Boat Maintenance

When you’re thinking about boat maintenance, there are a lot of things to consider. Obviously, it’s good to get a mechanic or someone who knows boats fairly well to make sure everything’s in good shape before you take it out on the water. You should also make sure it’s clean, because rust and other filth can be very harmful to your boat.

Just don’t forget to apply some Yamalube 2M oil to your boat’s engine, if that’s what it calls for, so you can be sure that your boat’s in great condition before you take it out on open water. Nothing’s worse than getting stuck out in the middle of a lake or the ocean because you didn’t properly take care of your boat.

A Fisherman’s Secret

My best friend is a genius when it comes to fishing; he fishes as if it were his job, like he’s professionally trained or something. He’s always coming back from fishing expeditions with tons of fish to cook up. I’ve never been fully aware as to how he does it! It might be a certain kind of bait, or something he does with his pole, or maybe he just knows where the best spots are.

Regardless, I wanted to learn his secrets through any means possible, because I’ve always wanted to fish as well as he can. I told him I’d trade him a bottle of Yamalube oil for his boat if he could teach me how he learned to catch so many fish. He gave up his secret pretty quick after that!

Engine Deposits

Yamalube Ringfree Plus is the ultimate engine deposit cleaning package. I use it at regular intervals on my outboard motors. I find that it clears out the gunk that can build up in fuel injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers.

If I didn’t use Yamalube Ringfree Plus, then my outboard motor would be at the mercy of gasoline deposits. The deposits can cause pinging, power loss, and piston ring sticking. Deposits can also shorten the spark plug life and cause other damage that can be pricey to repair. For a minimal amount of money, I’d rather take preventative measures.

Engineer Collaboration

Why do I use Yamalube oil? The answer is simple: it’s because I use a Yamaha engine. The Yamaha Motor Company is all about collaboration. The engineers who built the engine I use work with the oil engineers to ensure every formulation produces maximum performance.

Take the 2W watercraft two-stroke engine Yamalube oil, for instance. The exclusive semi-synthetic formula was specifically designed to protect against piston burning, rust, and corrosion, which are more likely to occur on the water. Low smoke emissions are an added bonus.

WaveRunner Safety

R&B star Usher has learned all too well the dangers of improper personal watercraft use. The singer’s stepson is now brain dead due to an unfortunate accident. Unfortunately, the 11-year-old is far from the only person to have been killed while using a personal watercraft. The U.S. Coast Guard reports that 16 people have been killed this year and 44 people were killed last year in personal watercraft related accidents.

Americans own approximately 1.3 million personal watercrafts, the best known being the Kawasaki Jet Ski and the Yamaha Motor Company’s WaveRunner.  I personally own a WaveRunner and I believe that they are far safer because you sit on them as opposed to the Jet Skis that you have to stand on. Either way, proper maintenance, like replacing Yamalube 2W oil, obeying the rules of the road, and always wearing a life vest when on a PWC is imperative.

High End Semi-Synthetic Oil

This past week, I’ve dedicated quite a bit of blog space to synthetic oils. I’d like to close out the work week by telling you a bit more about my high end semi-synthetic oil of choice, Yamalube 2W. This marine oil is specifically approved for use in Yamaha sport boats and WaveRunners.

Though it is available in smaller sizes, I personally stock up on Yamalube 2W oil and buy it in 55-gallon drums. I would estimate that using the high end semi-synthetic oil has saved me thousands of dollars in engine parts. Yamalube 2W keeps the internal workings of the motor well lubricated, clean and cool.
