Puttin Yamaha 2w Oil Where It Shouldn’t Be

241651My friend is known to do some pretty stupid things when it comes to maintenance of his vehicles. He owns a boat in addition to an ATV and a car. He likes to work on it himself for the most part. He only takes his vehicles to the shop if it’s something major that he doesn’t know how to fix himself. It’s a good thing that he likes to take care of things himself but it’s also a bad thing because he knows very little about mechanics in general.

I remember when he told us that he used some Yamaha 2w Oil in his ATV engine. We scolded him because 2w oil is made for watercraft engines and shouldn’t be mixed in with other oils in the engines of land vehicles. We told him that he shouldn’t be surprised if his ATV experiences any kind of engine troubles in the next few weeks. That wasn’t the first time he did something like that. One time he told us he mixed three different types of oils in his outboard engine. His boat engine blew and he ended up needing a replacement.

Picking Up Some Yamaha Oil Over The Weekend

aquasporttrailer-1There are some things that I just can’t get used to; sitting in traffic is one of them. It’s unavoidable and no matter how many shortcuts I come by, there’s still always some traffic on the roads. It gets really bad when I’m on my way home from work but I guess I shouldn’t complain too much about it because I’m not the only one who is going through this frustration.

I was sitting in traffic today so I decided to think about other things to get my mind off the situation. My girlfriend told me that she wants to go shopping for the apartment so she’s going to drag me to a home décor store over the weekend and ask my opinion about dinnerware and window treatments. I also needed to go to the store and pick up some Yamaha Oil because I’m running low. I hate running out completely so I like to keep a few bottles around just in case. All in all, it took about an hour for me to get home. Without traffic, it would have taken me less than thirty minutes. I need to find a better way to commute to and from work.

Some Wasted Yamaha 2m Oil

IMG_12My son likes to rummage through my tool bench in the garage to find the tools he needs to build his birdhouses. My son learned how to build them in shop class in school and he’s taken a liking to working with his hands. The birdhouses he builds are getting more intricate and he is able to sell them to our neighbors for a reasonable price. I’m glad he found a hobby.

Every so often, he would forget to clean up his mess in the garage. He would leave tools lying around and one time he knocked over some of my Yamaha 2m oil and just left the spill there for two whole days. It stained the floor but he was responsible enough to replace what he spilled. I taught him the value of a dollar and how he shouldn’t waste things if he could help it. He said he learned his lesson and now he cleans up every time.

Waiting for Boating Season

Living in a wintery area can make it a little bit difficult to get some good boating done. There’s a good period of the year where you’re simply waiting around for the weather to get nice again so that you can take your boat out. Sometimes, I’ll even get impatient and try taking the boat out when the weather isn’t very nice, which isn’t usually a horrible idea but it’s not a particularly good idea either.

Since I typically can’t be out boating, I often spend a good deal of time thinking about my boat. For instance, I’ll think about its maintenance and what I need to do to keep it in good shape. Recently, I decided that I would load up on some Yamaha oil so that I’d be ready once it became boating season again.

Oil Reserve

I like to keep a reserve of oil in my garage at all times, just in case I need it. I do this for my car and for my boat and I would do it for any vehicle I might ever drive because I think it’s vital and can save you from any potential annoyances. However, I didn’t always have this foresight; I had to learn from my mistakes.

A while back, I was on my way back from work, excited for a big boating trip that I was planning on taking that weekend. When I got home, I soon realized I’d forgotten to pick up the Yamaha 2S oil that I needed for some last-minute working on my boat. By the time I realized I needed it, all the stores that might carry it were closed. It would have been nice to have had a supply ready to go!

Cabin in the Woods

As a huge fan of horror movies, I made my life goal to build an isolated cabin in the woods. I’ve been working for it for a number of years and it’s coming along quite nicely. What’s perfect about it is that it’s located on an island that’s a small distance away from my actual home, which is fairly out there in the first place.

I have a dock right nearby my backyard, which is where I keep my boat. The boat is how I travel back and forth from my main house to the cabin on the woodsy island. With the right amount of Yamaha outboard oil, I was able to maintain my boat so that it wouldn’t have any problems getting to and from my cabin.

From Canada to California

When I lived in Canada, I was always a big fan of going out on my snowmobile. Then, a few years ago, I moved out to California for work. There were a lot of things that I had to adjust to in moving countries, but even more than the differences between the United States and Canada were simpler things such as suddenly dealing with warm weather all of the time, which I was far from used to.

When winter came around, I would drive around on my snowmobile and pick up snowmobile oil. These days, I instead use a Waverunner and pick up Waverunner oil, and I can even do that in the winter! I enjoy living in California a lot and sometimes it’s strange how many parallels there really are – like the snowmobile and Waverunner parallel – but sometimes I do miss things back home.

Women Can Boat Too

My girlfriend grew up boating with her parents a lot. She was an only child and while a lot of people associate boating as a ‘men’s activity,’ she’s proven that that doesn’t always have to be the case. She knows more about the mechanics of boats than I know about the mechanics of anything; her father worked on both cars and boats for a living and knew the ins and outs of all of it and taught her about it too.

She’s got a couple of boats of her own that she maintains and works on herself. She always uses Yamaha 2W oil in her boat and she keeps everything up to date when it comes to the boat’s maintenance needs. She makes sure people think twice before they think boating is a man’s world!

Waiting for Summer

Winter hits early where I live and I don’t often have a lot of time to take off from work for vacations in warmer places. Because of this, I don’t get to enjoy time on my boat as often as I would like to. I love fishing and boating and just being out on the water, but we only get a few weeks a year to do it at a nice, acceptable temperature.

Thus, there’s often a long period of waiting time where I work on boat maintenance rather than boat enjoyment. I like to keep my boat clean and ready for use. When it’s summer again, I’ll be the first one using Yamaha 2S oil to get my boat ready to go.

Boating in Idaho

I didn’t know when I moved to Idaho how frequently I would end up boating. There are lakes all over the state that I had no idea about when I moved here for my job. Sometimes new friends would take me to Priest Lake to go sailing or Cascade Lake to go fishing and eventually I realized I had to get a boat of my own.

Most frequently these days, I like to travel out to Lake Lowell in southwestern Idaho, because I enjoy fishing. Every now and then I’ll also head out to Redfish Lake or Lucky Peak Lake, however, and sometimes the ones that I used to go to as well. I always remember to bring an extra bottle of Yamaha outboard oil along with me, just in case.

Shark Fishing in Nova Scotia

I’ve got a friend who recently moved out to Nova Scotia for a job. I didn’t even know where Nova Scotia was, other than it being in Canada. It’s actually all the way on the east of Canada, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Considering it’s right out there on the ocean, it’s a pretty interesting place to go fishing, which was what we decided to do when I flew out and visited him.

He took me out to Blue Shark Fishing Charters, which is a professional sport fishing charter service. They took us out the fish for sharks! It was catch and release, but it was still really interesting fishing for sharks out on the open ocean, which is something I’d certainly never done before. I bought the guys a bottle of Yamaha 2M oil for their boat to thank them for such a great time.

Yamaha Lubricants

Yesterday I wrote about the guys’ weekend I attended in lieu of a traditional bachelor party. After we docked from the fishing tip, I took the first mate up on his offer to take a look at the different oils they keep stocked. Sure enough, in their store room there was a whole wall lined with Yamaha lubricants.

Though Yamaha lubricants are versatile, the first mate explained, the fleet owner makes sure that only the factory recommended boat motor oil. I started poking around the rest of the storage shed and talking to the first mate about what it takes to start a charter fishing boat business. He and I chatted a bit more and I took down his contact information just in case I had more questions about the industry.
