That’s why I exclusively wear Carhartts to work, drive only Chevy trucks, and eat organic. When it comes to taking care of all the machinery we keep around our home shop, my father has opinions on the best products to use there as well.

My father only uses Evinrude XD 100 oil in our boats. It has always been an oil that runs very clean, with no smoke or odor. I guess I’m going to be a customer for life as well!

Rough Water Boating and Evinrude XD100 Oil

domo online blog 2 11-03-14Even though fall is fully underway right now, my brother suggested that we go out on the water this weekend. Some fall weekends would actually be pretty good for boating, but this last weekend certainly wasn’t one of them. I was going to have to run both of my Evinrude engines just to make it so we were able to push against the waves in a decent way.

Luckily, I had plenty of power between these two engines to make it so that we were able to move through even the roughest water without having a lot of difficulties. Before we left, I made sure that my engines were running with plenty of Evinrude XD100 oil, because I knew that we could not afford to break down out in the middle of the water.

Need to Use Evinrude XD 100 Oil to Power a New Motor

domo online blog 2 9-22-14When my uncle first bought his new boat motor, he was happy to have it because it was bigger and more powerful than his other boat motor had been. He was used to using a very small motor on the back of the boat, which was mostly good for trolling around while he was fishing on the lake by his house. It had been a decent motor, but he’d wanted something more.

His new motor is a much nicer motor than the old one. It is set up to use Evinrude XD 100 oil, which was a weird change for my uncle. Luckily, he was able to find a website with a great price. The oil works great in his boat motor and doesn’t cost too much for him to afford.

Even when the season is for something that we aren’t really used to fishing for, we will go out and try our luck armed with tips that we have found on the internet. Usually, these trips are more about being out on the water in a boat than they are about catching much of anything.

Before we go out on the water, my father always makes sure that my outboard motor is equipped with plenty of gasoline and Evinrude XD 100 oil. Once he is sure that I have been maintaining my boat responsibly, we head out on the water where we will drop our lines and wait for the fish to bite. Sometimes the fish never bite, but it is always nice to be out on the water.

The boat has sat for the last couple of seasons because his friend injured himself at work and has been focused on recovery rather than taking his boat out. Now that he is finally getting back out on the boat, he has discovered that there are lots of things that need to be done.

Since he was looking for some Evinrude XD100 oil for cheap, my father helped him find it online for a significantly better price than he could find in any of the local stores. Last weekend, they focused on mostly cleaning the boat and getting it looking nice for the season.

Of course, it has the definite disadvantage of telling me about deals on oil that do not exist in my general area and are out of some boat maintenance shop in a totally different state. In some areas, there just isn’t a great price on marine oil that is very close to home.

In this case, it can sometimes be worth buying the oil online at a lower price and paying to have it shipped across the country. One of my friends has always ordered the Evinrude XD 100 oil that he has to get for his boat online because the places that sell it in his area raise the price significantly. He finds that if he buys large amounts of oil, it is still cheaper even with shipping.

Out for Opening Day on Evinrude XD100 oil

This naturally meant that all of my friends and relatives wanted to hit the lake so that they could try their hands at a little bit of trout fishing. One of my friends used opening day as an opportunity to try out his new Evinrude outboard motor when a lot of other people would be out on the lake.

He has taken his boat out on the lake a few times already to get everything working properly. He wanted to make sure his Evinrude XD100 oil was lubricating the motor properly and that everything was running well before the boat actually was launched. On opening day, he actually took the boat out onto the water and took it all the way into the middle of the lake without any problems.

Surprised by the Cleanliness of Evinrude XD 100 Oil

One of the things that sets off his asthma is extremely strong ashy smoke from a boat engine. This meant that he was frequently having asthma attacks when he was out on the lake in his small boat.

I recommended that he start using Evinrude XD 100 oil, because this produced a far cleaner smoke. He was skeptical at first, but once he tried it, he said that he never wanted to switch back to the generic oil that he had been using before. Now he can enjoy a day out on the lake and only worry about pollen levels and dust in the air.

He would never put something that was not synthetic into his car and he wouldn’t do that to his boat either. He loves the way that synthetic oils work and is not willing to sacrifice the benefits that he sees in these oils, just to get something that is slightly cheaper.

For his boat he will only use Evinrude XD100 oil. This oil is specially formulated to burn clean. As a big supporter of environmental awareness, this is very important to my brother. He loves the performance that the oil gives him and the lack of ash, smoke, and unpleasant odors. He feels as if he is getting the best deal by using this oil.

Other times, the steering doesn’t want to work very well and he has to fight it to get it working. Depending on the oil he is using, it also smokes badly.

To fix the oil problem he switched his boat over to using Evinrude XD 100 oil. Since the switch, his engine has run better and cleaner than ever. Best of all, he isn’t buying oil nearly as much as he was before. He likes this because it is better for the environment and more cost effective.

Don’t Accept Substitutions for Evinrude XD100 Oil

domo-online blog 1 12-30-13When you spend a lot of money on a boat, it just makes sense to spend money to maintain it properly. Would you buy a new car and then fill the engine with subpar oil? Your boats engine is no different. If you spend the money on the equipment, than there is no reason to let it fall apart by using a slightly cheaper substitute for the right kind of oil.

Boat’s engines are set to a certain type of oil. They can be reset to accommodate different types, if that is what you choose. However, if you’re trying to substitute a different type of oil for something like Evinrude XD100 oil, than you have to make sure that your boat has already been reset to use this other type. Failing to do so, can void your warranty and harm your engine.
