936916_10151586548630867_637457102_nMy father passed away when I was younger, so I wound up spending a lot of time with my uncles, who really became my male role models as I grew up. They showed me how to do all kinds of things; they took me on my first hunting trip and they took me camping for the first time. Our favorite thing to do together, however, was to go fishing.

These days, I live further away from my uncles than I did when I was a kid. However, we still always find times during the year to organize fishing trips. I have my own boat now, which is something I had always wanted, and I’ve got all the Mercury Premium Plus that I need to make sure that my boat always stays in the best possible condition.

Waverunner Oil to Fuel a Great Experience

Waverunner-DonationI’d never ridden on a Waverunner until last year when a friend of mine let me take his out for a spin. I didn’t anticipate how much fun I would end up having on it. I found the whole experience very exhilarating and my friend practically had to drag me away from the Waverunner, kicking and screaming. I knew right then that I wanted one of my very own.

The experience was something I still remember, so I finally was able to purchase a Waverunner of my own a couple of weeks ago. I’ve had it on the water pretty much every day since I’ve had it. I also picked up plenty of Waverunner oil and all of the other accessories that I would need to go along with it.

Relieving Stress Thanks To Evinrude XD 50 Oil

speedboat3Taking my boat out is something that has always been particularly relaxing for me. Whenever I’m feeling stressed out, I know that taking my boat on the open water will help relieve my stress. My job can be pretty strenuous sometimes, so stress is common in my life, which means that I take my boat out as often as I can.

Since my job has the tendency to stress me out at a moment’s notice, I like to be able to take my boat out whenever I need to. In order to make sure that possible, I always make certain that my boat has been properly maintained. I keep a lot of Evinrude XD 50 oil on hand and I’ve learned to do the majority of my boat’s maintenance myself.

Solo scuba dives are something that only people with a lot of experience should be able to do. Even then, it’s important to have people there for safety. This means that not only should you get the best scuba diving gear you can, but that your boat should also be in the best condition it can be. Don’t go the cheap route with inexpensive boat motor oil; you should always make certain to use motor oil that will keep your boat running perfectly for as long as possible. This way, it won’t be something that you ever have to worry about.

Yamaha Oil For A Speedboat

Eliminator_Speed_boatI love to go fast! I’ve always been intrigued by high speeds’. I’m an amateur race car driver and I love flying across the water, which is why I purchased a go fast boat not too long ago. It’s really fun to take it out on the water with a friend or two and seeing just how fast we can go.

Riding in a speedboat is a lot different than driving a race car. In a race car, you’re generally going in circles in the same track, whereas the path on a speedboat can feel a lot less linear, which is interesting. I fill my boat up with Yamaha oil, to make sure that it runs as well as it was designed to, considering how much I push the limits with it.

How 2 Stroke Oil Works

4cycle-diagramFour-cycle engines have a closed crankcase, which is what makes them different from two-cycle engines. Crankcase compression two-stroke engines require a different type of oil than a four-cycle engine because of this reason. Since these types of engines use the crankcase as part of the induction tract, gasoline and oil must be mixed for proper lubrication.

Generally, the best way to do this is to use 2 stroke oil, which is offered by many of the top motor oil brands. This type of oil is burned alongside the fuel in what is technically a total-loss oiling system, though it is rarely referred to as such, because two-stroke engines differ greatly from other total-loss oiling systems that are used in steam engines.

Fishing In Iowa And Outboard Motor Oil

038335_headlineThough it’s about as far away from oceans that you could be, Iowa still manages to have plenty of awesome places for fishing. In particular, I like to take my boat out to the Mississippi River in the east. It’s pretty well known for having a very broad assortment of fish such as bass, catfish, pike, walleye, and panfish. There are tons of access points to the river as well.

There are other places to fish in Iowa as well, such as a number of lakes, trout streams, smaller rivers, and the Missouri River on the west, where most people go to catch blue catfish. All you need to do is get a fishing license, a boat, and fuel up with some outboard motor oil, and you’re ready to head out on the water to catch some fish.

There are a lot of rules and laws that are typically in place (though they vary from state to state) that have been designed to ensure the safety of yourself and of everyone else out on the water when you’re out boating.

Emergency Mercury Oil

valor4My father always told me to expect the unexpected. I didn’t really consider his advice because I thought it was just a phrase he used a lot. I never really thought of the meaning of those words until my outboard engine broke down during a recent fishing trip. Had I heeded my father’s words, I would have been prepared when my engine broke down. Instead, my friend and I had to wait for somebody to tow us back to the marina.

These days, I keep an emergency kit on my boat at all times. I don’t want to be stranded for an hour or more again so I keep some Mercury Oil, a gallon of gas, and emergency rations in my kit. I try to expect the unexpected so I won’t be caught off guard again. I also keep a first aid kit in my boat and in my car. Whenever I go somewhere, I try to imagine the worst possible situation that could happen and I prepare for it. I hope my son will take what I say seriously when I try to impart some knowledge on him like how my dad tried to do the same with me.

Cheap Mercury Oil 55 Gallong Drum: Too Good To Be True?

IMG_1077I’m one of those guys that can’t pass up on a good deal. I usually have friends in all the right places so I never need to pay full retail price on anything significant that I need. I was able to get my television for almost half off by using my friend’s employee discount from his job at an electronics store. I also get all of the parts I need for my boat through independent owners because they offer the lowest prices.

I saw an ad for a Mercury Oil 55 Gallon Drum from an independent dealer for over half off the original price. The first thought that popped into my head was that there was something wrong with it. Something like this is never this cheap unless there was some sort of defect. I contacted the owner and he assured me that it has never been opened and he’s only looking to get rid of it because he needed the extra space for some other things. He said he had about five more drums sitting in his garage and he’s selling them all for the same price. I told him I would come by to check it out and if everything was in tip top shape, I would gladly purchase it from him.

Full Day

joupdogdadI enjoy running errands on my days off.  I feel like I am accomplishing a lot of little things that look good when crossed off of my “to do” list.  There are bigger tasks I need to do that would require more time, but I like to get the little things out of the way so I can focus all of my attention on that bigger task.

Today, I had to go to the bank to deposit some checks.  Then I decided to get some coffee before heading to the mall to return some pants.  I don’t like waiting on long lines at customer service to return items but it had to be done.  It only took twenty minutes of my time and the customer service representative was nice and polite.  Good customer service can go a long way for a company.  Finally I had to stop at the store to pick up some Mercury engine oil because I was running low.  I spent the rest of the day assembling furniture that my wife bought.

Brand Preference

BrandThere are a lot of different motor oils available for boats. Before you even start looking, you should make sure you know what to be looking for, based on the type of engine that your boat has. For instance, a 2 stroke engine requires special 2 stroke oil, so if that’s what you have, you should make sure that that’s what you’re going after.

Once you’ve figured out exactly what kind of oil you need, you can get into the specifics of brand choices and things like that. There are many different brands of motor oil that you can choose from. You could take a look at Yamaha or Mercury oil, but personally, I prefer Optimax oil.
