Shrimp Boats ~ Southeastern Fisheries Association, Inc.

According to the Southeastern Fisheries Association, Inc., the first statistics about shrimp fishing in the United States were gathered during the 1880s, which yielded a shrimp count of about 10 million pounds. And several years later, by 1905, the abundance of local shrimp had grown to 24 million pounds.

Off the coast of Florida in 1902 marks the beginning of the shrimp fishing industry within the United States. It was in this year that Sallecito Salvador, a Sicilian immigrant, began fishing along the Fernandina beaches. By 1906, Salvador and a few of his fellow fishermen had established a base of the shrimp fishing industry in Florida.

I can only imagine that the industry of shrimp fishing boats relies on the clean power of Evinrude XD 50 oil!

Shrimp Boats ~ Southern Shrimp Alliance

The Southern Shrimp Alliance is an organization of shrimp fishermen, shrimp processors and other members of this domestic industry within eight warm-water shrimp producing states: Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama and Florida.

Established in 2002, the SSA helps regulate the continued validity and existence of the US shrimp industry. Unfortunately, the livelihood of shrimpers is threatened by the cheap and unfairly traded presence of imported shrimp. Thanks to organizations like the SSA, we can continue to consume only the finest quality shrimp our local waters have to offer.

I can only imagine that the Southern Shrimp Alliance favors reliable motor oils for their fishing boats like Yamalube 2W oil.

Shrimp Boats ~ Wild American Shrimp

Wild American Shrimp makes a profound effort to educate the public about the realties of shrimp consumption in the United States. Did you know that 85 percent of the shrimp you consume is imported to the US and was most likely pond-raised? Even along the Gulf and South Atlantic states, most restaurants, grocery stores and seafood markets carry imported shrimp.

However, Wild American Shrimp guarantees that their shrimp are 100-percent naturally harvested from the waters of the Gulf and the South Atlantic. They invite you to savor one, two or many of their plump, sweet and fresh shrimp because with just one bite you’ll know the difference.

Since Wild American Shrimp is so loyal to their cause, I bet they rely on motor oil that delivers honest reliability, Yamalube 2M oil.

Shrimp Boats ~ the Shrimp Dock

The Shrimp Dock was founded in 1993 in Knoxville, Tennessee by Captain Paul Willis who grew up shrimp fishing in the bayous of Louisiana. He had later established a niche seafood business in Colorado, but after a visit to East Tennessee he decided the Smoky Mountains were a good location that was also close to his home base in Louisiana.

With a new market along the Alcoa Highway selling his fresh shrimp out of the back of a pickup truck, he soon evolved into a storefront. Within the last three years his business has expanded into a chain and then one year later his company was bought out by a like company, which has allowed Captain Willis to return to what he loves best – shrimp fishing in Louisiana.

I believe Captain Willis is familiar with the reliable power of Evinrude XD 50 oil.

Shrimp Boats ~ Sinaloa Mexican Wild Shrimp

The Mexican shrimp fishing industry was born out of Sinaloa, more specifically in the port of Mazatlan, when fishermen of the United States and Japan came to the Sinaloan coast during the mid 1920s. The practice of shrimp fishing had been around for centuries; however, these vessels that arrived transformed this practice from regular domestic consumption into an actual mega industry.

Not too long after the emergence of this booming industry, the first local-built shrimp boat was constructed in Teacapan. It was a wooden boat that measured 50 feet long. By the 1950s, three men – Isaac Coppel, Camilo Medrano and Juan Gavica – recognized the need for quality shrimp in bulk and began to export their services to the United States in an effort to share the marvel of Sinaloa with the world.

I can only imagine that the industry of shrimp fishing boats relies on the clean power of Evinrude XD 100 oil!

There have been words of speculation that some unknown Russian tycoon has secretly ordered the construction of the world’s most expensive and privately owned yacht, the Hull 6154. It’s said that this mystery ship is 438 feet long and features seven decks, 15 staterooms, a few Jacuzzis, a gym, two helicopter launch pads and storage space for a submarine.

The estimated cost of this ship is $270 million and it’s allegedly being built by Fincantieri, a world-leading yacht builder based in Genoa. I’m sure when the reality of this mighty ship emerges we will continue to be baffled by its excellence.
