Yamalube For A Helpful Father

stever5_dualI recently moved into my first apartment and it wasn’t something that I could really do on my own. I didn’t want to drop a lot of money paying movers, so I enlisted the help of my father. We were able to get everything moved in there in under six hours, which was really nice.

In order to thank him for all of the help he had given me with the move, I decided to get him a couple of bottles of Yamalube oil. I knew that he had been putting off doing some maintenance on his boat because he didn’t have all of the right materials, and I thought that some motor oil might be a step in the right direction.

Saving Time With A Mercury Oil 55 Gallon Drum

$(KGrHqQOKo8E4i7FdKrbBOTWLzF91!~~48_35Sometimes my father can be a little bit too set in his ways. He gets stuck with one way of do something until a better way is forced upon him. There have been a number of times where my mother or I have had to just change something and force him to get used to it. He always acts annoyed at first, but usually realizes the change was worthwhile.

For instance, I started to notice that he was always going out and buying more motor oil for his boat, which seemed like a waste of time. I chose to buy him a Mercury oil 55 gallon drum so he was always well stocked and wouldn’t have to keep going out to get more before hitting the water. He was hesitant at first, but now he continues to buy bulk oil in barrels.

Boat Maintenance With Bulk Mercury Optimax Oil

50hpMy friends and I decided to go out on our first fishing excursion of the year not too long ago. It’s still a little cold out, but we’d been itching to go fishing for quite a while, and I’d been hearing that the walleye were out. We had pretty much all of the supplies that we needed for a nice fishing trip; at the time, all we had to do was help my buddy out to perform maintenance on his boat.

We pulled from his large stock of bulk Mercury Optimax oil and made sure to perform all the required maintenance before we took the boat out to the water. I think it’s smart that he keeps such a large amount of it on hand at all times, so that he doesn’t have to go out and buy more when he wants to actually use his boat, whatever the occasion.

Storing Bulk Outboard Motor Oil

xd30pts6There are a few guys that I’m friends with in my neighborhood that have gotten boats recently. I have the biggest garage on the block, so I’ve been offering my services to store boat-related things in my garage, so that my neighbors and friends can have a little more room in their own garages.

What we did was we pooled our money together and bought a decent amount of bulk outboard motor oil, which is largely being stored in my garage. Each of them has a small amount at their own home, but because my garage is so big, there’s room for a lot of this extra stuff, and they can easily come over and grab up some motor oil whenever they need it.

The Store Without Outboard Oil

miss force s80 2012_322x228There’s a small boating store in my hometown that I go to every now and then when I’m looking for supplies for my boat. Unfortunately, when I say that it’s small, I mean it’s REALLY small and they don’t really have a great selection of products. The problem is that they have products that cater to certain boats or types of boaters but not others.

The other problem is that they don’t really restock frequently enough. They never carry the outboard oil that works best on my boat, so I usually wind up purchasing it online. I think that the store would be a lot more successful if they made sure to stock up on these things so that people like me could easily find what we need.

Bulk Motor Oil Keeps You Prepared

Image.ashxIf there’s any time where I know that I’m not going to be using my boat for a while, I like to make sure that I’m prepared for when I do decided to take it out again. For instance, sometimes the weather is going to be bad for a long period of time or I need to take my boat in for maintenance or something like that.

Regardless of the reason, being prepared relieves me of a lot of stress and makes it a lot easier for me to take my boat out again when I’m ready. This is why I always purchase bulk motor oil and keep a large amount of it properly stored in my garage so that I can get to work on the required maintenance of my boat as soon as I’m ready to take her out again.

Fueled Up With Yamalube 2W Oil

oilerThere’s an area on the border of Washington and Oregon where I went fishing recently, because walleye season is starting up over there. It was certainly an adventure taking my boat out there, considering it was the middle of February and was still mind-numbingly cold outside. But me and my buddies are pretty dedicated fishermen so we decided to trek all the way out there.

Before I headed out, I made sure to fuel up my boat with some Yamalube 2W oil. I wanted to make certain that my boat was up to par and wouldn’t cause us any problems while we were out there in the cold. Everything worked out great and we had a pretty great weekend, regardless of how freezing it was outside. All of us caught some pretty big walleye!

Some Much Needed Yamalube Ringfree Plus

dogyI hate it when I find something wrong with my outboard engine. I get the feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach and I pray that it isn’t anything major. I try to take good care of my boat in general and I feel like I failed when there is something wrong with it.

Last weekend, I took my boat out on the lake for some fishing when I heard some pinging in my engine. I just recently changed the oil a couple of weeks back so I was confused as to why it would be making that sound. I took my boat to a mechanic and he said that the deposits need to be cleaned out of the engine. He put in some Yamalube Ringfree Plus and ran it through my engine. The next time I took it out, I didn’t notice any strange sounds and it ran a lot smoother. My mechanic said I needed to do that every so often so the deposits don’t start to build up and wreck the engine.

Puttin Yamaha 2w Oil Where It Shouldn’t Be

241651My friend is known to do some pretty stupid things when it comes to maintenance of his vehicles. He owns a boat in addition to an ATV and a car. He likes to work on it himself for the most part. He only takes his vehicles to the shop if it’s something major that he doesn’t know how to fix himself. It’s a good thing that he likes to take care of things himself but it’s also a bad thing because he knows very little about mechanics in general.

I remember when he told us that he used some Yamaha 2w Oil in his ATV engine. We scolded him because 2w oil is made for watercraft engines and shouldn’t be mixed in with other oils in the engines of land vehicles. We told him that he shouldn’t be surprised if his ATV experiences any kind of engine troubles in the next few weeks. That wasn’t the first time he did something like that. One time he told us he mixed three different types of oils in his outboard engine. His boat engine blew and he ended up needing a replacement.

Picking Up Some Yamaha Oil Over The Weekend

aquasporttrailer-1There are some things that I just can’t get used to; sitting in traffic is one of them. It’s unavoidable and no matter how many shortcuts I come by, there’s still always some traffic on the roads. It gets really bad when I’m on my way home from work but I guess I shouldn’t complain too much about it because I’m not the only one who is going through this frustration.

I was sitting in traffic today so I decided to think about other things to get my mind off the situation. My girlfriend told me that she wants to go shopping for the apartment so she’s going to drag me to a home décor store over the weekend and ask my opinion about dinnerware and window treatments. I also needed to go to the store and pick up some Yamaha Oil because I’m running low. I hate running out completely so I like to keep a few bottles around just in case. All in all, it took about an hour for me to get home. Without traffic, it would have taken me less than thirty minutes. I need to find a better way to commute to and from work.

2 Cycle Oil Is Worth It

11882883My friend likes to find cheaper alternatives for just about everything. He never buys name brand items; he usually gets the generic brand. I’m sure most of the items do the same things but some items are better than others I imagine. I guess I have more trust in name brand items because I would expect they would perform better. That might not necessarily be the case, but that’s how I feel.

My friend bought some generic 2 cycle oil for his outboard engine. I warned him that some brands weren’t going to be as good as others and that when it comes to things like engine maintenance, he should stick with the better quality stuff. It will eventually do some harm to his engine but he still likes to buy the cheaper alternative. In the long run, it will cost him more to repair the parts that were damaged.

Cheap Mercury Oil 55 Gallong Drum: Too Good To Be True?

IMG_1077I’m one of those guys that can’t pass up on a good deal. I usually have friends in all the right places so I never need to pay full retail price on anything significant that I need. I was able to get my television for almost half off by using my friend’s employee discount from his job at an electronics store. I also get all of the parts I need for my boat through independent owners because they offer the lowest prices.

I saw an ad for a Mercury Oil 55 Gallon Drum from an independent dealer for over half off the original price. The first thought that popped into my head was that there was something wrong with it. Something like this is never this cheap unless there was some sort of defect. I contacted the owner and he assured me that it has never been opened and he’s only looking to get rid of it because he needed the extra space for some other things. He said he had about five more drums sitting in his garage and he’s selling them all for the same price. I told him I would come by to check it out and if everything was in tip top shape, I would gladly purchase it from him.
