It is important to check you motor oil frequently. Whenever your oil is below “full” it is advisable to top it off.
If you notice that oil is off color then its time to change it. Old motor oil loses its viscosity and accumulates residue that can harm your engine and we don’t want that. You want your outboard motor to run like a well-oiled machine with top performance so you will want to make sure your oil is the best.

You own a Evinrude or Johnson engine and you will want to keep it in tip top shape.
