boat with snow in harborWinter solstice is a nice time of year, because it means that the days are finally going to start getting longer again. This is the first step towards the weather and the temperature that’s necessary for perfect boating conditions, which come in the spring and summer. As an avid boating enthusiast, I simply can’t wait!

I’ve already begun making the purchases that I will need for boating season. I’ve got all of the Yamaha outboard oil that I will need for maintenance and I’ve also purchased cleaning supplies for my boat. There’s only a few more months left until I’ll be able to take the boat out on the water!

Do You Associate Yamaha with Yamaha Oil?

Domo-Online 12-2-2014 Pic 4Did you know that Yamaha produces all sorts of different types of products? It’s kind of amazing when you take a look at it. People recognize the brand name, but if you polled different people on the streets, I would imagine that different people would recognize the brand for different products.

Since I’m a boat enthusiast, I most closely associate Yamaha with Yamaha oil and the other boating products that they produce. However, other people might be more familiar with their motorcycles or their musical instruments. They are a very versatile company and they are well-trusted when it comes to quality.

Using Yamaha 2W Oil on My Very Own Personal Watercraft

Domo-Online 12-2-2014 Pic 3After spending some time on my cousin’s Waverunner, I knew that I needed to have one of my own. It was so exhilarating and fun spending time on it and it seemed like the kind of thing that I would love doing in my spare time. When I lived in a more wintry area, I did a lot of snowmobiling, and this feels like the summer equivalent.

Thus, I did the research and made sure to load up on Yamaha 2W oil that I’d be able to use for my Waverunner’s maintenance. I picked up a Waverunner and I’ve been going out on it constantly. I fully intend to get my money’s worth with my very first personal watercraft.

If You’re Running a Yamaha Outboard Yamaha 2M Oil Is the One for You

domo online blog 5 10-27-14When you buy a boat, it is up to you to make sure that your boat continues to run at its peak performance since no one else will be able to do it for you. The key to keeping a boat running well is identifying what kind of maintenance it needs early on so that you can make sure to keep up with this. You are the only one who can be responsible for keeping your boat running.

For those people who have a Yamaha 2 stroke outboard, most of what you need to do is make sure that your boat always has a mix of gasoline and Yamaha 2M oil keeping it running. The oil is made by the same manufacturer as the outboard, which can be one of the best ways to ensure that the oil and the outboard motor continue to work well together all of the time.

Yamaha Outboard Oil Keeps My Boat Running During a Rainy Fishing Trip

domo online blog 2 10-13-14Last weekend, I decided to brave the rain and the wind and go out on the water to go fishing. I took my little fishing boat out to the marina and got it ready to launch. I had to pack all of the fishing poles and some tackle boxes that I needed to bring with me. I had a friend who was joining me, but he decided that he would meet me down at the marina that morning.

On the way to the marina, I made sure to fill up on gasoline and Yamaha outboard oil so that my boat would be running at its best. It is always important to make sure that a boat is running well when it is taken out, but it is even more important to do so when the weather is bad. I didn’t have a single problem with my outboard motor during the trip, which I was thankful for.

The Right Yamaha Oil for a WaveRunner to Use

Since Yamaha is a very diverse brand, it is not surprising that they manufacture a large assortment of different types of oil. They have to have oil that will work in vehicles that move through the water in addition to those that move through mud and snow. This requires a lot of different types of oil with additives that are good for the right kind of situation.

If you are trying to find the right type of Yamaha oil to run a WaveRunner, this is different oil than is used in just a standard boat. Rather than using Yamaha 2M, which you would with many different outboard motors, you must make sure that you use Yamaha 2W. This type of oil is specifically designed for WaveRunners and other small watercrafts.

Yamaha 2M Oil is Designed Great for My Uncle’s Outboard

domo online blog 5 9-02-14My uncle has a tiny fishing boat with a small outboard two stroke motor on it. Even though the boat and motor don’t seem like much to my family members with much larger boats, my uncle loves the little boat and makes sure to take the best care of it while he takes it around on the lake near his house. It is a cute little boat that can move decently through the water.

To help make sure that it is always taken care of, he always makes sure to have the Yamaha 2M oil that is designed perfectly for his Yamaha motor. The boat motor has been running for many years and will continue running for many more to come with the level of care he gives to this motor.

Yamaha Outboard Oil is Different From Other Types of Yamaha Oil

domo online blog 3 8-11-14When one of my friends bought a Yamaha outboard engine for his boat, he turned to me to tell him exactly how to start using and maintaining this outboard motor better. I explained to him that it would probably be a good idea for him to start buy using the type of oil that was the same brand as his boat. This meant that he needed Yamaha oil for his Yamaha outboard.

I then had to explain to him that there are a lot of different types of Yamaha oil and only Yamaha outboard oil was meant to be used in his boat. Other types of Yamaha oil are made for snowmobiles or for personal watercraft and can really mess up the outboard motor. I was able to get him to choose the right kind of oil for his outboard and get him started with his boat maintenance.

Utilizing Many Different Types of Yamaha Oil

domo online blog 5 8-04-14My family has always been pretty dedicated to the Yamaha brand. Whenever anyone wants to go out and buy something that has an engine, they always look for something that was built by Yamaha. Of course, this often means buying a more expensive product than might come from another brand, but the longevity of the items we have purchased have proven that it is worth it.

We find ourselves using Yamaha oil for all of our different engines. Yamalube 2S is for my brother’s snowmobiles that he takes up into the mountains after the first good snowfall of any year. Yamalube 2W is for the WaveRunners that we race around the lake during the summer. Yamalube 2M is for all of our Yamaha outboard motors that keep boats running through fishing and crabbing seasons.

Finishing Off a Large Supply of Yamaha 2M Oil

domo online blog 4 6-30-14Last winter, my father found a great deal on Yamaha oil and decided that he should buy a large amount of it to give to people in his boating club and use in his own boat. Since then he has been collecting favors by offering the oil to just about everyone that he knows. This is not uncommon in the boating club he is a part of and everyone pays him back with trips in their boats.

Yesterday, my father finally ran out of the Yamaha 2M oil when he gave it to the person who is going to take him out on the water tomorrow for the Fourth of July. My father is glad that he no longer has anymore outboard motor oil to store in his garage. The supply that he bought during the winter was taking up a corner of the garage until it started getting used in the spring.

Buying Yamaha Outboard Oil on Sale for Next Season

domo online blog 5 6-16-14It always seems like stores want to have sales when what they’re selling isn’t needed anymore. For example, stores clearance all of their winter clothing once summer begins. Of course, the same is not exactly true for boating products because most products can be needed for a vast majority of the year. Who knows when they’re going to need a new life vest?

I have already purchased oil for my boat for this season, but recently I ran into a sale on Yamaha outboard oil. Rather than pass up such a great deal, I decided that I was going to buy the outboard oil and store it for the next time that I had to change the oil in my boat. Since most oil can be stored for over a year, I am not too worried about storing the oil for later.

Trusting Yamaha Oil to Keep My Engine Lubricated

domo online blog 5 6-2-14When I first got a boat of my own, I was determined to do everything that I could to take care of it and keep it in good condition. I knew too many people who didn’t bother to take great care of their boats and then got into trouble with their engines dying out in the middle of a lake or a bay. I never wanted to have any problems of that sort, especially when they might be prevented.

I made sure to keep my boat running well by checking the outboard engine on a regular basis. I kept up with regular maintenance and made sure to change my oil every season by draining the old oil and adding the Yamaha oil that my boat would need. By following all of these safety precautions I have managed to keep my outboard running well over the course of many years.
